Acceptable Use Policy

Castomi builds virtual creators and tools for people who make them. This policy sets out what is not allowed when using Castomi’s website, services, creators, and, once available, Castomi Studio. It applies to Castomi’s own work as well as to customers and partners.

We may update this policy as our products develop. Castomi Studio will have product-specific terms before public signup.

Core principles

• Virtual creators must not deceive. Characters should be identifiable as virtual or AI-generated where appropriate, and sponsored content must follow applicable disclosure rules.
• Real people’s identities belong to them. No one’s face, voice, or identity may be used without clear permission.
• People stay accountable. A person or organization is responsible for every character and every piece of content.

Prohibited uses

You may not use Castomi’s services, creators, or content for any of the following:

Impersonation and deceptive identity

• Impersonating a real person, brand, or organization.
• Creating a character that is presented as a real human in order to mislead audiences.
• Hiding that content is AI-generated where disclosure is required by law, platform rules, or campaign terms.

Non-consensual likeness use

• Using a real person’s face, body, voice, or other identifying features without their documented consent.
• Creating content that places a real person in situations they did not agree to.

Political impersonation

• Impersonating candidates, officials, or public figures.
• Creating deceptive political content, or content intended to mislead voters or interfere with elections.

Sexual content and minors

• Sexually explicit content, except where expressly permitted by separate product terms and applicable law.
• Any content that sexualizes minors, or characters designed to appear to be minors in sexual or suggestive contexts. This is never permitted.
• Creating virtual creators that appear to be under 18 for commercial or influencer purposes without additional review.

Fraud and harassment

• Scams, phishing, fake reviews or endorsements, or other fraudulent activity.
• Harassment, bullying, threats, or content that promotes hatred or violence against people or groups.

Intellectual property and trademarks

• Infringing copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property.
• Using brand names, logos, or products in ways that imply an endorsement or partnership that does not exist.

Unlawful content and platform abuse

• Content that is illegal where it is created, published, or viewed.
• Spam, fake engagement, inauthentic follower growth, or violating the rules of the platforms where content is published.
• Attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Castomi systems.

Enforcement

We may review content and accounts, remove content, decline or end engagements, and suspend or terminate access where we believe this policy has been violated. Where appropriate, we may report activity to platforms or authorities.
